Talk: Oxford PSC members recent visit to Palestine

Oxford PSC members Jenny Stanton and Niki Carter will talk about their recent visit to Palestine.

This meeting is being convened by NOW (Network of Oxford Women for Peace and Justice), and supported by ORFA and PSC. Jenny and Niki visited East Jerusalem and Ramallah, and also spending time in Bethlehem. As well as meeting up with friends and linking with people and organisations in Ramallah for ORFA, they have also spent time with Gandhi's grandson and Mordechai Vanunu.

Vigil for Palestinian Prisoner Hunger Strikers

We will have a silent vigil in Cornmarket (next to the Stall) on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH FROM 11AM TO 1PM.

Please try to come, and bring placards with information if you can. We need to draw the public's attention to what is happening to Palestinians in Israeli jails.

We will be able to plan the vigil some more at our meeting on August 24th, but please keep the morning of September 4th free for it.

Women in Black Vigil (WIB) - Saturday 31st July, 2:30-3:30pm

Over 20 women participated in the 1st vigil on 17th July, and other women (and men) handed out leaflets and answered questions from the public.

We will be holding a 2nd (and final for the summer) WIB vigil on 31st July. NOTE: this is a Silent Demo, please dress in BLACK.

Meetings

We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm in the Town Hall, St. Aldates, Oxford. We discuss forthcoming events, publicity, and so on. All are welcome.

We hold a stall every Saturday on Cornmarket Street in Oxford city centre, from 11am-1pm. The stall is a good opportunity to meet others concerned about Palestine, discuss issues, buy Palestinian produce, and keep up-to-date with the latest developments.
